I created different bridal hairstyles showcasing the versatility of braids. Braids are pretty much always on trend, but are usually associated with a bohemian chic look. Rustic Chic: A Bohemian Bride

Last October I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Lisbeth on her wedding day!

The more we discussed her style and theme was the more excited I became to work with her.

Lisbeth was not afraid of makeup and wanted to look flawless, as does every bride! The tricky part was keeping her glam makeup look in balance with the boho chic theme and style of the wedding.

At the trial we played with soft browns and rich earth tones to create her soft yet bold smokey eye. We discussed a few different hair options and the decision was between a side textured braid or soft undone waves.

In the end Lisbeth went with undone waves that were perfect for her crown of flowers!

I absolutely love how everything came together! It was a pleasure working with Lisbeth and her family on her big day.

My Wedding Makeup

I thought I would share my very own Wedding Day face with you guys!

My wedding makeup look

My wedding was in August and I was going for a very glamorous vintage feel for both makeup and hair.

Who else could I trust to do this but me. I have to say though... I did somewhat miss having someone there to help calm nerves and add that extra touch of pampering.

Onto the makeup! While I wanted glam, it still needed to be natural to an extent to keep my look fresh, here is the feature listing:

Eyes: Bronze Smokey Eye keeping it really dramatic and soft at the same time, I have naturally long lashes but I still added a few to the outer corners for added flare.

Face: My usual liquid foundation and powder and bronzer..... lots of bronzer.... I was very sick the entire two weeks before the wedding with the worst flu and I had a really pale sallow complexion by the day of the wedding, so I used bronzer to give me back a healthy glow.
( couldn't help the coughing tho :( )

Cheeks: I used a peachy blush keeping it soft

Lips: A deep red to match my manicure and shoe soles, I also did my bouquet this colour

Hair: I had my extensions done 3 days before to give my face time to settle, this was a sew in so at times theres a tight face lift until things loosen up. (My custom Bridal Extensions are Clip In's) The night before I set little curls to create the waves with a Veronica Lake inspiration, I did the half over face bang but didn't like the overall look so I kept the side waves to the side as you see in the pic

And that's about it! Lasted through the entire event!

Loved it!.....and Hubby did too

Hair was styled to look like Victory Rolls from the front and a bow in the back.
Custom Hair Extensions were added.

Real Weddings: Bride Arin

Bride Arin a former model told me during her Bridal Consultations that she was not afraid of makeup! (love brides like this! :D ) She wanted a vintage 60's inspired look keeping it soft and modern.

For her makeup I gave her a neutral toned winged eye with black faux lashes for added drama.

Her hair was styled in a Half Up Do 60's inspired with soft beachy curls.

Real Weddings: Bride Erin

Bride Erin, one of my Destination Brides, wanted a natural polished look for her wedding day.

We decided on a clean look with neutral eyes at her trial session. Erin has great skin but I corrected slight redness that she got from being in the sun. Her wedding day look was completed with soft definition to her eyes and brows with a pop of colour on her cheeks.

For her hair she wanted a sleek "down do" that would still look beautiful in wind. I curled her hair loosely to give it body then brushed it smooth to have bounce in the wind and structure after the wind dies down.

Real Weddings: Bride Seanna

Bride Seanna wanted to have fresh glowing skin with a barely there makeup look.

Luckily for Seanna, flawless natural looking skin is my specialty!

I created Seanna's Wedding Makeup look with a customized foundation blend matching her complexion perfectly. The rest of her look was completed with earth toned shades, faux lashes and a pop of colour on the cheeks and lips.

Seanna had beautiful long Locs which she wanted gathered together, so I created a little lift in the center with a side pony tail. We added her hair piece of a large flower with pear sprays.

Real Weddings: Bride Rudina

Bride Rudina was a long time High School friend of mine who I had the honour and pleasure of working with for her special day!

I gave Rudina a Classic Bridal look keeping the colours soft but matching her floral arrangement with Soft Pinks and Neutral shades.

Prior to her Wedding day I shaped her brows and lightened them and also applied semi permanent lash extensions.

Her hair was styled with a low Chignon and accented with a beautiful hair comb.
